Dennis Harris and SaM

SaM came together in 2009 and has entertained large corporate groups, festivals (Merimbula Jazz Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Vivid in Sydney, Bastille Festival in the Rocks), private functions and clubs; and we provide music for wedding and funeral religious services. We are based in Sydney, northern suburbs, played in Brisbane, Gold Coast, all over Sydney, Bathurst, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide.

Our comfort zone is jazz – the standards from 1900 to 1960 – but we will get the crowd dancing with some Rock and Roll.

We have been quiet during COVID 2020 and 2021 but are starting to re-emerge in 2022.

We have added Paull Betts on bass to:

Sonya Doyle (soprano), Marian Landers (alto), John Gunn (percussion) and me, Dennis Harris on keyboards. Harmonies and jazz trio arrangements are the main features of our music.
